Welcome to the 2010 Waldorf Wildcat Football and Cheerleading Season. We held our 2010 Annual Meeting on February 18, 2010. Elections were held and all of the Board positions that were on the ballot were filled. I feel we have a great team in the 2010 Board of Directors and we look to build upon the successes of the 2009 season.
I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank ALL of the volunteers who made the 2009 season a real success. I would personally like to thank Leonard Randolph for “steering the ship” in the direction we are headed today. Leonard along with the 2009 Board made it a goal to lead the Wildcats to success in 2009. Leonard’s vision of putting the Wildcats name out in the community was truly a “touchdown”. In 2009, the Wildcats were seen as contributors to the local community with two feed the homeless events, several appearances by the Wildcat Cheerleaders at community events, coordinated the First Annul Fathers vs. Coaches Flag Football Game and not to mention 5 of 8 football teams making it to the playoffs and every cheerleading squad placing in various cheer competitions. Leonard will truly be missed, I wish him the best! These accomplishments will be hard to top for 2010, but the 2010 Board will strive to build upon these and the many other accomplishments from 2009.
I would also like to thank Lisa Thomas for heading the cheerleading program for the last several years. She is a remarkable person and truly will be missed. Lisa’s smile and huge caring heart was the center of the cheerleading program. Her willingness to go the extra mile is one of the things that will be missed. I wish Lisa the best in everything she does in the future.
Next I would like to thank Susan Sharp for being the Treasurer for the past two years. Susan took on a huge task in getting the books straight for our organization. She did a great job and everyone should be rest assured that EVERYTHING is in order and ready to pass on to the new Treasurer. Thank you again Susan for everything, outstanding job.
Last but not least I would like to thank Chris Sharp. Chris was the Equipment Manager for the past SEVERAL years and he did a phenomenal job. Keeping track of the football equipment is not an easy task. Ordering the jerseys and getting the names correct is a daunting task that he performed diligently year after year. Chris has contributed his time and finances for the betterment of the Waldorf Wildcats and I would like to say thank you again for everything. Your willingness to get the job done was always appreciated.
